7 home games this season

Originally, I had hoped to write a story after every game…

For the last several years, we have been able to work/manage a concession booth during the NCSU Football Season. And 2025 was another good football season with 7 home games at Carter Finley Stadium.

As mentioned (elsewhere), we needed volunteers to work the football games with us starting Aug 28th. We tapped this years small mission team, last year’s mission team, and our local church connections. But it was not enough people week over week. So the managing food service vendor, Aramark, helped supplement our staff with people from other groups.

We staff a concession booth that serves food and beverages to fans. The work is not “hard,” but the day is very long, and that can be difficult on the lower back.

All told, we had people from many groups including: Broughton High School Wrestling team parents, Cary Swim Club parents, youth group parents and friends from Vision Church, etc.

Typically, we sell fresh popcorn, hotdogs, pizza, subs, bbq sandwiches, sodas and water. We run 8 registers, 1-3 on popcorn, 1-2 on hotdogs, several food runners, several beverage runners, and Ellis guiding the rhythm of it all.
