The weary travelers finally make it back to RDU airport. One of our traditions is to get one last photo and pray together before parting ways. I’m sure we were all bone tired.

The goal of the trip was to help Charlie, Valeria, and Gabby with their ministry to the people of Puebla, Mexico. As you can see from the images and stories, we spent mornings doing the eye glass clinic and family portraits. The afternoons were devoted to leading a variety of workshops for the youth and families at Gabby’s Crece Church.

The other important aspect of this trip was helping Charlie build connections into the community so that his fledgling ministry in Malacatepec will continue to thrive. At the time of the trip (Oct 2019), this was a big deal.

Who knew, that just a few months later, the world would shut down due to Covid-19 …
